Verbatim is a real life (LOL) simulation roleplay. A RLSR if you will.
The goal of this roleplay is... missing. Well, not entirely. The point of this RP is to get people to really think about what goes on in the real world. And yes, there is one.
Verbatim is supposedly run by a GM who serves as god, and the media. It controls traffic, natural disasters, who becomes the famous, and who doesn't. It tells you when you get sick, it invents TV shows and new products, publishes novels and markets video games. the GM is the news caster, the newspaper. the Gm tells you whats going on in the obscured world of Lindon's politics and economy.
It may seem as though the GM has control of everything that goes on.
But that is far from the truth. It's the players job to translate this information, to formulate opinions about whats going on. It's the players job to bypass traffic, to get stuck in traffic, or to get into an accident which causes traffic. It's the players job to help with the aid of natural disasters, to attempt to become famous, to avoid fame, to get well or even sicker, to watch TV shows, to buy the new products, and to read the news. Although the news may not always be right, none of you know that. It could all be a scheme, right? Who knows. The elections might be rigged, and the country might really be run by aliens. Or Nazis.
But it's the players job to function here as they would in the real world.
The only difference is that here, you can experience whatever you want without having the same consequences as real life.
It's online society... copied Verbatim.
